A blog for the "Know Your Neighbours" group. Connecting people in Seal, near Sevenoaks in Kent.
What is "Know Your Neighbours"?
"Know Your Neighbours" is a grass-roots community group in Seal, near Sevenoaks in Kent. The group is made up of anyone in the village who wants to get involved - individuals, clubs and societies, businesses, church and schools, parish council, and many others.
We organise local events through the year - fetes, street parties, Christmas events etc. - and we hold social gatherings, just so that people can get to "know their neighbours". There's no "committee" - anyone who turns up for meetings is welcome to help in any way they are able.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE, OR BE ADDED TO THE EMAIL LIST, contact Marion Gilchrist , who coordinates the group, or Anne Le Bas, who maintains this blog.
This Blog will be archived from July 7 2024 following the retirement of Rev Anne Le Bas who has maintained it. Know Your Neighbours will continue however. Please email Marion if you would like to know more!

Some Autumn events
Firstly, a little feedback. The Seal Village Allotments held
an open day back in July, and they raised £560 for Hospice in the Weald. It was
a lovely event, and well done to all those who worked so hard to achieve this.
The trip to Broadstairs just a few days ago, was also very
successful, and everybody seems to have enjoyed their day. I am sure this will
be repeated in the future!
The following gives you the dates of events over the next
few weeks as far as we are aware.

your own original scarecrow design for this year's festival. Each year this

Printing, or in Church. The scarecrows need to be displayed any time from September
17th, to Sunday October 1st (or beyond if they are still in tact)!. Judging
will take place on Friday 29th September. Please display your scarecrow either
outside your property, or somewhere else with the agreement of whoever owns the

please complete your form! The results will be announced at the Harvest Lunch
in Seal School on Sunday October 1st.
