What is "Know Your Neighbours"?

"Know Your Neighbours" is a grass-roots community group in Seal, near Sevenoaks in Kent. The group is made up of anyone in the village who wants to get involved - individuals, clubs and societies, businesses, church and schools, parish council,and many others.
We organise local events through the year - fetes, street parties, Christmas events etc. - and we hold social gatherings, just so that people can get to "know their neighbours". There's no "committee" - anyone who turns up for meetings is welcome to help in any way they are able.

Fete Planning Meeting Thurs 5 Sept

There will be a fete planning meeting on Thursday 5th September at 7.30 in the Church Hall. All are welcome to come along and add their talents and skills to the bank of people we already have. As you will be aware, the fete takes place on Saturday 21st from 12 noon until 4.30pm. We still need volunteers to assist with setting up, clearing away, and manning a few stalls.
We are also looking for more donations of cakes and tray-bakes, wine, tombola prizes and donations for the silent auction. Please do not be shy! If you have any contacts, please ask/beg for donations, and drop me an e mail or come along on Thursday (or both!)
The programme looks good, but we do still need some extra pairs of hands to help out.

Look forward to seeing a good throng on Thursday - only 2 more meetings after this one!
